And the awards go to...

I've just spent the last 30 minutes happily emailing the winners of the Blogathon 2002 Awards. Now it's time to share with everyone:

Most Money Raised and Most Sponsors:
Jake Howlett of Codestore took us all to school by gathering 215 sponsors and raising $7,371 for Doctors Without Borders. What a fantastic accomplishment. My hat is off to Jake.

Most Tired (but still made it):
Jake of Codestore again. With late posts like "Al m o st th e rrrrrrrrrrrrr.....", he deserved the tired bit, yet he finished with a sleepy smile and a thumbs up for the webcam.

Most Enthusiastic and Best Webcam
Prana and Skyte of The Pervert Club cheered us on to the very end with great attitude and...prizes! Everybody loves a goody bag!

Best Undefinable Project
With pictures of potties galore, Wendy at Twodolla kept us giggling. I really should send her a pic of mine. But I think I'll clean it first....

Best Music Project
Danica at Billowing kept the tunes spinning all night. Just call her the Official Blogathon DJ.

Best Writing Project
There were a couple great storytellers out there, but Doyce at Bears Cave takes this prize with his short story, Vayland Rd.

Best Visual Arts Project
Wendy's project was close to her heart, tied in with her charity, and entertaining to boot. The Picture Puzzle Project kept us awake and guessing.

Best Themed Blog
This Blogathon had a sweet tooth. Shaun at A Blog of Chocolates kept everyone's mouth watering with tales of that delectable treasure. What a yummy way to spend 24 hours!

Voter's Choice
You like her, you really really like her. Danica at Billowing is the hostess with the mostess, winning your love and approval as the most popular blog. Danica's enthusiasm and spirited style was a blindingly bright spot in a groggy night.

Best Blog
Great technical writing, fun webcam posts, tremendous fundraising...all these and more make Codestore the Best Blog of Blogathon 2002. Despite obvious grogginess, Jake kept going with wit and aplomb. He was single-handedly responsible for nearly 13% of the overall funds raised in theis year's event. Jake rocks.

Big congratulations to all our winners. See you next year!
