Charity Watch: RAINN

One of the most popular blogger-selected charities this year is RAINN, the The Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network.

"RAINN created and operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 1.800.656.HOPE. RAINN also publicizes the hotline's free, confidential services; educates the public about sexual assault; and leads national efforts to improve services to victims and ensure that rapists are brought to justice."

They have a Blogathon writeup on their front page, as well as a list of bloggers who are raising funds for them this year. Monica Taylor, the Director of Development, has been great to work with, and the Blogathon plans to include RAINN as a suggested charity for our 2004 event.
