Blogger Spotlight: Snarkypants for Chemoangels

"Hi all ... 2nd year doing the Blogathon and this year we are blogging for ChemoAngels - an organization made up of volunteers (like me!) who support those going through chemotherapy with cards, notes or small gifts on a weekly basis. I am a 'Card Angel' so I send my chemobuddy a card each week with a cheery note. An outgrowth of this organization is Senior Angels. Again, volunteers provide support to a designated senior who might need a bit of sunshine in their life. My senior isn't really a 'senior' per say but a lovely woman with brain injuries who is living in a nursing home. My commitment is to send a card a week to her. I love to write and cards have always been my specialty, so why not share the lurve, right?

"I got to see the Angels in action when my mom had a mastectomy. She was put on the 'special assignments' list and probably got 50 cards sending her well wishes! She looked forward to the mail every day. It was truly a blessing to her - she couldn't get over how people who didn't even know her would send a card! If you know someone who could use a little sunshine, I unreservedly recommend ChemoAngels."
