Neuroblastoma really, really sucks.

Not least because it's almost exclusively a children's cancer. It is frequently aggressive and highly metastatic, usually requires surgery in addition to chemo- or radiotherapy, and is prone to cause paraneoplastic effects (unpleasant consequences of having a tumor which can, for instance, secrete hormones).

Blogging for kids is posting stories of children with neuroblastoma and raising money for the Children's Neuroblastoma Cancer Foundation. The stories are inspiring and wrenching all at once. Do go read, but keep the tissues handy.
